Stats Hidden: Trust Your Hockey Knowledge
Stats Hidden plays like Stats Visible with one change: you cannot see player statistics while you pick. You get a team, an era, a list of names, and your own memory of those players. The same single team-or-era reroll is available before a pick.
This changes the game more than it sounds. In Stats Visible you can scan a roster and find the best available player at each position in a few seconds. In Stats Hidden you have to know that a mid-career winger from the early 2000s was quietly a point-per-game player, or that a goalie you half remember had two excellent seasons and several bad ones. Recency bias is the enemy. So is name recognition: a famous player is not always the right pick for the slot you need.
The lineup structure is the same six slots: three forwards, two defencemen and one goalie. Once the lineup is full, the season is simulated. Your grade and record appear on the result screen, along with a season summary to review and share. You can finally compare how the team turned out with what you expected while drafting.
Stats Hidden is the mode for people who have been watching hockey for a long time and want to prove it. It has its own leaderboard, separate from Stats Visible, so the comparison is against other players working blind.
